LASI-Amsterdam 2013 was a success!
The Dutch Learning Analytics Summer Institute (LASI-Amsterdam) took place on the 4th and 5th of July 2013 at the science faculty of the University of Amsterdam. LASI-Amsterdam was organized because the Learning Analytics community was, and is, relatively young. Different forms of expertise and different perspectives had yet to fully interact with each other. Some stakeholders were more involved than others and their knowledge and desires were not yet fully spread throughout the community.
LASI-Amsterdam tried to accelerate that process by bringing these together in a two-day summer school. LASI-Amsterdam was part of a global initiative.
One of the goals of LASI-Amsterdam was to result in digital artifacts and deliverables that could be used by both those who participated and those who didn’t. These artifacts include the resources used during the event, including slides, video recordings and digital snapshots and notes of group discussions. These resources can be found here.
Last but not least, the organisation wishes to thank all participants for making the LASI-Amsterdam 2013 event what it was. Its success belongs to the community.
